Here we have painted canvas with a sponge
Then, together with the child, we have found a picture of a shape we like. We printed the image and placed it over the painted (dry) canvas.
We used a needle and following the lines on the sheet stuck the pattern into the canvas.
We took the sheet away when we had punched holes for the entire pattern. Then it was ready to sew.
