Today we tested silk clay at home

Today we tested silk clay at home and it turned out to be a great Christmas decoration. The camp was great for the children to work with.

1/2 cup cornflour
1 cup salt
1 cup boiling water
Mix everything together in a saucepan, bring to a boil (and stir well, it goes really fast). It's done when you've got a firm mass. Put the mass on the kitchen counter with some cornflour, knead the cornstarch into the mass. When it has turned a nice white colour, and it is firm but not sticky, your clay is ready.
The clay is baked at 100 degrees for an hour with the oven door slightly ajar. (The recipe says 100 degrees, but I had the oven at 150 degrees)
To make the small stars and hearts, we used small cutters. These are usually sold where they sell baking/cake equipment.
