Then we have had two weeks of pattern

We have focused on a week with stripes and a week with dots. We talked about what stripes are, looked for stripes on clothes, went for a walk with "striped glasses" on.

Drawn and painted stripes, they learned the difference between horizontal and vertical. On Friday, all children and adults wore something with stripes. The same process with dots. The children have also been searching the ward for things with dots or stripes. This has been great fun, and discovering how quickly children learn with engaged adults, fun activities and that we have talked a lot about this for 2 weeks together the transition of telling the children about striped stones and dotted stones is from the time we had volcanoes also in Norway. We would like to see some interest until Monday when we will work with the volcano project for 2 weeks at the request of the children. We are looking forward to it!
