We have had carpentry
We have been doing carpentry, sawing and nailing in the group for quite a while now and this has been really great. The children have been in the forest and collected sticks and pine cones, and we had the sticks divided into smaller pieces by a farmer.
We dried the cones in the oven so they spread out. The children decorated the cones with glitter, Christmas balls and moss/lichen. From some smaller sticks, the children themselves cut what they wanted and then glued on the head, legs and hair. Finally, they glued on angel wings they had fashioned from steel wire. Impressed by the work they have done!
