We also have (like many others at this time of year) the skin mitten theme. We thought we'd talk a little about each individual animal and we'll start with the mouse.
To give the children a better understanding of size and weight, I have drawn different types of mouse/rat in original size (some info for us adults on the back) In addition, I have full bags of rice. Each bag has the weight of a mouse or rat, so the children can feel the weight. We can sort the bags by weight and the mice by size. It's always good to have something to wear.
