Food's journey through the body

We are working on a project! What actually happens to the food we put in our mouths. We have watched video from NRK, looked in books, had a dramatization of "the story of the bread slice".

The children have been allowed to make their own live-size drawings of the body with the digestive system. We have tested taste, smell and tactile sense while talking about the tongue and nose. It was exciting to test whether it is true that different parts of the tongue recognize different tastes and just for fun we had to test jelly and straws. The children are from 3-5 years old #realfag #USN Grua Barnehage.
