I work the past
Hi, I used to work in Switzerland as a kindergarten teacher, but would still like to share here. This year we made an advent calendar.
I made little houses out of cardboard and the children (4-6) made dots with a dotting needle to get the windows and doors out. Here, children are often allowed to work with a needle because it exercises their fingers to hold something like a pencil. The children were very busy dotting and getting glitter and "snow" on their house afterwards.
The children also glued transparent paper to the back. I drew the numbers in advance and the children decorated with glue sticks and glitter. Every day during Advent we opened a window. This time I also did what is behind the doors - but it is possible to do it together with the children.
It will be great fun to watch.
