A simple and nice activity that captivated the 1-year-olds and some 2-year-olds in my department today: take paint in buckets, fill them with snow and turn them - then they become "cakes" with beautiful patterns!
Afterwards, it is of course fun to destroy the cakes and play with the colorful snow.
