Find empty glasses!
I have had the kitchen cupboard full of empty glasses of various kinds.
Took them to work, where the children have had to paint, sprinkle on glitter, glue on eyes, felt beaks and feet from pipe cleaners. When the glue is dry, we will put in aluminum foil, and some cotton on top, before we sow cress seeds.
I think they turned out really cute.
(This is in a 1st grade in preschool, but can also be suitable for kindergarten).
