This year's calendar for 4-year-olds
We had 24 small bags hanging on a string, in each bag there was, among other things, a picture of a child.
The task was for the rest of us to say something nice about the child whose picture it was. "Julie is fun to play with" "Julie has a cool sweater". The suggestions were many and were also guided a bit by adults so that it was not only about appearance and focus on clothes. Then the picture and what became written down hung up on today's route. The calendar also contained pictures of activities. Picture of beads on the day we were going to make a Christmas present with that material. Picture of rowan berries on the day we were going to make rowan berry jelly, picture of the church on the day we were going there, etc. This was a fantastically good and visual calendar and very nice for the children to show off what had been said about them. In the new year, the images and text are laminated and sent home.
