Based on the children's interests,
Have the pre-school children, in the Læringsverkstedet Grandehagen kindergarten in Eydehavn, had a project about the Rescue Skate and Elias.
First we started by finding out what the Lifeboat does, and there was a lot that the children both knew and found out together.
We traveled to visit Redningsskøyta, and there we had a few meaningful hours with wonderful staff - thumbs up for them.
Then all the children made their own picture on the canvas, where they themselves chose whether they wanted to focus on the Rescue Skate or Elias.
They painted canvas like the sea, made the boat and various other things in clay, which were then fired in our pottery kiln. The clay was then painted with glaze paint, another trip in the oven and finally they glued it to canvas, as well as painted more that they thought belonged to the picture if they wanted to.
A great and educational process, with many good conversations.
