This can be a fun and useful language activity. The children must say whether the banana lies ahead, behind, beside, in or under the curve
• is the crab below, in front of, behind, beside or on the bench?
• is the pirate behind, in front of, under, next to or inside the boat?
• is the shovel under, behind, in front of, next to or in the bucket?
• is the boy on, behind, in front of, next to or under the couch?
It can also be fun to make preposition game by taking photographs of teachers and children who are placed in front of, behind, beside, under, etc. Or take photos of toys or objects in the nursery. Then you make lottery game of it.
