The magical forest

The result of a year's project work!

Throughout a whole year, we at Trollskogen nursery school (Måløy) have been working on creating our own magical forest! The focus area has been the role play, and we have taken it out into nature by creating different play stations, and we have recreated the different themes inside our magical forest! The children have guided us through the whole process by finding the forest, clearing the forest, finding out what we want to have in the forest to the location of the various play stations. The children have been involved in planning and carrying, they have screwed and hammered, painted and built and played and cuddled along - an incredibly unifying process for both young and old! In the magical forest, magical things happen in relation to the role play - it flourishes, and it's absolutely fantastic to be a part of it!
