Today's fruit and vegetable
Place the right fruit and vegetable in the right place.
Now that the kindergarten year is well under way and the important language work is taking place, I want to share a fun assembly activity for 1 and 2 year olds. As the picture shows, we have had trees and fields on the wall. Together, the children draw a fruit and a vegetable as well as the vegetable's plant. Then they hang the fruit or vegetable in the right place. Here super-concepts and sub-concepts come out clearly. Nice to have the fruit and vegetable of the day in the ward so the children can taste and talk about it.
