Good ped
Good ped. my manager took us to dye rice last week. She cut strips of crepe paper in 3 different colours, separated into 3 different boxes.
( Here you can also mix colors if you wish). Then the children got to help pour plenty of water into the boxes and what happened! The water turned the same color as the paper! Wow!
The children then poured uncooked rice into the colored water (once the paper had been removed). It didn't take long before the rice was the same color as the water too! Magical!
We left the rice in water for a few hours before straining the rice out and leaving it to dry on newspaper. Here it lay until the next day. Then we collected the rice in the boxes again, and dried the rice a little extra in the drying cupboard.
Today we used the beautiful colored rice to decorate butterflies. Look how nice it turned out!
