Who works in the toddler ward, try painting with porridge. It's really exciting! Mix together some baby porridge with water in a bowl.

Then add some food colouring. Mix the color into the porridge (preferably make several bowls with several colours). Find sheets and other equipment that the children want to use.
The youngest children love to explore, and much of that exploration takes place through tasting. The children then get the opportunity to paint, while it is not harmful for them to taste the porridge paint along the way. It is as exciting to feel and taste as it is to discover the color and texture that appears on the sheet. This was fun, and the result was fantastic!
